I read his direct comments and what is reported is a very spun interpretation. Essentially he said he is responsible for enforcing laws, Congress writes and passes laws. If a Congressman doesn't like dreamers getting deported he needs to look in the mirror for people to blame.

Rand Paul did the same thing last week over CBP searching electronics as part of border inspections. Rand Paul thinks cell phones should have some special protection from border inspections. If so, he needs to work that problem through Congress. I'm sure child porn traffickers will be very happy.

This all goes back to an extremely long period of time where neither party has been interested in enforcing the standing laws on the books. The snap back to law and order is going to be a bit of a shock.
