I had to have some throwing stars.
Instructions: Take one high-school metal shop class. Add one substitute teacher.

It was the Swinging Sixties with free love and women threw themselves at us,
Lee Merriweather has confirmed this in interviews. Said she was married at the time, otherwise she would have joined the fray. Said gals on the set were lining-up.

The first was the eminently forgettable Blue Light, a prime time drama starring Robert Goulet (yes, that Robert Goulet!) as a secret agent fighting Nazis during World War II.Hey, I liked that show. Of course I was only eight....
And Robert Goulet saved his best performance for the Louis Malle movie Atlantic City....

But while that formula worked to critical and financial success for future Batman actors Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale and Ben Affleck...He left out George Clooney. Deliberate snub or no?

Caesar Romeo = best villain. Totally underrated, I gotta give you that. But he ran in some fast company: Julie Newmar (sound of hyperventilation), Burgess Meredith, and the incredibly talented Frank Gorshin.
I remember a Johnny Carson spot with West in the guest chair, just as the first movie was coming out. He slumped back, stuck out his now-ample gut, drummed his fingertips on it, and dead-panned, "I can't imagine why they didn't ask me."

JULIE NEWMAR - Best Temptress Ever
I still get a bit feverish at the mention of her name.

Life isn't fair.
Frank Gorshin's dead and Kirk Douglas is still going at 100.
