President Trump’s legal team may be prepared to show a trail of leaks to The New York Times by former FBI Director James Comey – dating back to at least March – in a pair of complaints set to be filed to the Justice Department inspector general and Senate Judiciary Committee, a source close to the team told Fox News.
An independent Fox News review of The New York Times’ reporting dating back to January reveals a host of stories sourced from top FBI and DOJ officials – or those privy to their conversations – that either paint Comey in a positive light or push a message he was unable to personally disclose.
Though Comey told the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 3 he’d never been -- or directed another FBI official to be -- an anonymous source for news reports about the Trump and Hillary Clinton investigations, the then-FBI chief did not deny orchestrating leaks using, for instance, an old friend who works at Columbia University, or providing the information to a wide enough group to ensure it would leak.
And in reference to a separate case, he acknowledged sending his infamous letter to lawmakers last fall announcing a revival of the Clinton email probe knowing full well what they'd do: "Did I know they were really going to leak it? Of course, I know how Congress works.”
Comey, who was fired by Trump in May, was open about at least one leak in testimony last Thursday.
He admitted to using an ex-U.S. attorney, later identified as Columbia University Prof. Daniel Richman, to leak to The Times the contents of alleged memos Comey wrote about his one-on-one interactions with Trump.

Partly on point, I keep mentioning Comey did NOT leak his memo, he leaked a few sentences deemed damaging to Trump. If a memo exists, he deliberately withheld any parts helpful to Trump. Not a small point because the leak was totally a hatchet job.
Not one republican senator was quick enough to think of asking Comey that question while he was under oath and in a frame of mind to spill his guts.
“How many other times have you leaked information?”
“What information did you leak?”
“When did you leak it?”
“To whom did you leak it?”

Comey’s written testimony then exonerated Trump because Trump smoked him out with the threat of a tape. The “damaging” part was all innuendos not based on any evidence. Such as Trump is “the type of person” who “might lie” (not ‘did lie’).
The Republican Senators on these committees are idiots. Too bad Mark Levin is not on one of these committees.
Questions and answers in these hearings are almost always agreed upon ahead of time with little deviation from the script. They’re a tv show.
Like pedophiles, and rapists, Comey didn’t just become a leaker overnight.
If we believe Comey, there is more than one memo (one memo per meeting or phone call - meetings and phone calls spread over months), and at least one of them was provided in total to Richman.

How about checking Comey’s computer. Look what was found on Hillary’s computer. This could be one BIG OWIE !!
Comey testified that “for a variety of reasons” he used his friend to leak the memo to the NY Times. I cannot believe that no one asked him to list what his “variety of reasons” were, one by one.
One of them just occurred to me. He gave information to third parties and then those people gave it to the press. He wanted to be able to testify and deny, without risking perjury, that he had ever leaked information. That is just one theory, who knows? But it would have been nice for some follow-up questions.
Pres. Trump has been proven right in dealing with the sleazy Comey so far. Comey is a lying quisling.

Comey was in California giving a speech. Sessions and Co. entered Comey’s office at the same momeny Comey was fired, they cleaned his office out.

Yep - the guy who he leaked to was given a verbal rundown vs. a written document and Comey claimed he destroyed his original memo - why would he do that if it ever existed and was on the up and up? Total balderdash.
