Three gay men say they have gained legal recognition as the first 'polyamorous family' in Colombia, where same-sex marriages were legalized last year. Actor Victor Hugo Prada and his two partners, sports instructor John Alejandro Rodriguez and journalist Manuel Jose Bermudez, have signed legal papers with a solicitor in the city of Medellin, establishing them as a family unit with inheritance rights.

Back in 2012, I predicted that if same-sex marriage is ever legalized across the entire US, five years later their divorce rate will exceed the heterosexual divorce rate. In three years we will see if that is happening.

Once you redefine marriage once, why can’t you redefine it again? There is a show on TV now about a trio calling themselves a “throuple” that are together. It’s had 2 seasons, and it is praised on IMDB:

Getting “marriage” was also about getting divorce rights and benefits as well. I know someone who is gay who had a prior breakup in a relationship and was pushing for the legalization for exactly that reason: He wanted the same standing as a heterosexual couple in getting a breakup recognized as a divorce.
