I hate to draw a comparison to movies let alone science fiction movies however we seem to be living in the twilight zone now so...

This brings to mind an episode of Battlestar Galactica Litmus(Season 1 Episode 6) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0519778/

Adama dissolved the investigation but ultimately relied on his crew to defend his decision. Will Trump’s base back him up? I’d like to think so but thus far Trump seems to be the only one taking on the swamp.

Yes - Rosenstein’s justice dept picked Mueller. And there you see the importance to the rats of getting Sessions to recuse himself.

With virtually NO HAND to play the rats are winning the game....or at least now have a good shot at their usual gambit - telling some poor soul caught in the crossfire to “give me Trump and this whole thing will go away”.

“Robert Mueller is superb choice to be special counsel. His reputation is impeccable for honesty and integrity. Media should now calm down” Newt on twitter 5-17-17.

With friends like these....

“We have history of this stuff going sideways:”

If a special ‘counsel’ was appointed and given carte blanche and funding to investigate any of us, they would undoubtedly find ‘something’ they could run with. This should never have happened, and the fact that Comey and Mueller are ‘best friends’ should absolutely disqualify Mueller. What if any of us was accused of a crime, and the person accusing us of that crime was ‘best friends’ with the prosecutor? This is essentially the same.

Yes they are bullies. They are also savvy and smart about it. Trump is behind the curve here. He should have rooted out these people long ago. Trump is not being aggressive enough on this front.

It should have been his first order of business. I think the best course of action is to make it perfectly clear to the voters that he is working hard to improve their economic well being despite all of this deep state/democrat obstruction. And that improvement in economic well being has to be real and it has to be felt throughout all sections of the population. We need to make the democrats look ridiculous. They are ridiculous. We need to make sure that they own their ridiculousness. We need to give them ample opportunity to continue displaying their ridiculousness which shouldn’t be too hard as they appear all too eager to do just that.

WHEN WILL ANY OF OUR SUPPOSED REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP IN CONGRESS COME TO THE AID OF OUR PRESIDENT AND CALL FOR MUELLER’S RESIGNATION? [yes i am shouting, as i am fed up with the spineless lack of support that Trump is getting from our majority party.]

the GOP was as spineless in challenging Obama as they are in supporting President Trump. what is the point of having representatives in Congress who are afraid to represent the will of the people who sent them there, and elected their party’s nominee as president?

“weak as water,” as Mrs. Slocum would say, “and i am unanimous in that.”

“Congress should cut off his funding.”

FINALLY somebody calls out the obvious.

The Republican Congress could stop this TODAY by passing a bill to preclude DOJ from spending any more money on it.

Not one red cent.

But they won’t because they are co-conspirators in the coup.

Trump should start campaigning against the Republican Congress. Buy ads, the whole nine yards.

Let them feel the wrath of Trump voters.

Two pronged strat needed:
1) force Mueller’s resignation
2) force a coalition of 40 GOO senators who basically sign a pledge that they will NOT even consider impeachment over anything related to Russia or Mueller’s “i vestigation” even if there is a replacement.

Yhis statement would end the entire issue in seconds.

Good luck getting 40 GOP senators to go along with this. You might get 15-20, but you won't get a majority of them to put their necks on the line and go against their master, Chuck Schumer. The U.S. Senate in general is worthless - they have become too self-important and too untethered from the electorate.
