There are multiple indications that the special counsel was appointed in an irregular way, ignoring various rules for the appointment.
Is there no one with standing who could bring suit against the DOJ to slow down this witch hunt?

As soon as I saw that statement I immediately assumed it was directed mainly at President Trump. LOL.
Mueller is violating federal law by not recusing himself - he has a close personal relationship with a key person in the investigation. That, combined with the fact that Comey likely violated federal law in an attempt to get a Special Counsel named in the first place, should be the focus of many Trump tweets and other demands for recusal.
Oh, and Rosenstein should be fired, along with every single Obama-appointed US prosecutor (that should have been done on January 20, following Clinton’s 1993 example). Ditto State, DoD, Treasury and the FBI and CIA. Clean out the bastards, THEY are the source of the leaks that are ALL part of an orchestrated COUP against Trump, and thus against the will of the American people.
Don’t fire Mueller, though - the entire media will be filled with stories about Trump being just like Nixon firing Archibald Cox. But discredit the crap out of him and what he’s doing. PROMINENTLY mention that all of the attorneys that he is hiring are big Dem donors - and ask how it is possible to get a fair investigation with a Comey BFF and solid Dem donors doing the investigating.
Fight these bastards, President Trump...and don’t hold back. That’s why you ran, and that’s why we voted - enthusiastically - for you.
Is there a limit on what Mueller can investigate or is this thing wide open? If so he needs to be reeled in.

The good thing is that Trump is by far not that stupid. No, he’s not immune to getting ticked off, but his entire business history shows that he acts only after planning things out, and with every bit of information that is available being tossed into that planning.
IMHO, this “investigation” (really, the equivalent of the Salem Witch Trials) is the last arrow in the Leftists’ and Deep State’s quiver. They have NOTHING else, and if this doesn’t work, nothing will (particularly because the public is getting REALLY sick and tired of this crap - especially after the Alexandria shooting). So all that Trump has to do is weather the storm for another couple of weeks. He needs to be daily undermining the credibility of Mueller and his (extremely biased) team. Then, fire everyone, all at once. Frankly, he shouldn’t wait any longer to fire every Obama appointee who is a US Attorney - just throw them overboard, with a boat anchor wrapped around their necks.

Let him put together a who’s who of Democrat donors and as soon as it is ready to begin, fire Mueller and the whole lot of them. Then list every single democrat donor as the reason Mueller could not be trusted with the investigation.
Hire another special counsel to specifically go after the leakers. That should ice Mueller from Comey.

It’s about time they made a move! They, out there, hate Trump already, so just go ahead and FIRE everyone around him that is doing this. Fire mueller and all those attorneys he hired, fire rosenstein, fire the hold overs from obama’s reign.. yeah, they’ll all go nuts if he does... but it will die down and the way it’s going now, it won’t die down until he’s out. Get rid of the snakes.. get rid of the leakers.. Trump is in the snakes pit and he HAS to clean it out or it’s going to infest everything and everyone. It isn’t safe anywhere..
None of this amounts to a hill of beans ... what angers me is Trump has done nothing that anyone can find... and hillary is wide open for investigation to be indicted .... they leave her alone and try to destroy Trump. SOMEONE who can speak and explain it well, needs to get on the air and explain all this.. that it’s politically motivated and run... and Trump is going to shut it down.. and then proceed to FIRE the lot of them. This is how Trump can get rid of this all. Hire another assistant Attorney General with same rank as Rod Rosenstein. Have this new assistant Attorney General fire Robert Mulller and his entire staff on July 1st which segues into the long July 4th weekend this year. This way Muller etc termination gets lots in the shuffle.
At the very least Donald has to give Mueller etc the heave ho in steamy humid August when all the DC Swamp denizens decamp and get the f out of town and take their tax payer funded vacations
