Snarky Colbert. I guess he forgot about "we have to sign it to see what's in it"

Remember Pelosi saying, “We have to pass the bill so you can see it?”

Every time someone goes to the YouTube.com homepage, that’s what they are shown - Stephen Colbert, Trevor Noah, and Seth Meyers bashing the GOP.

I don’t know if any of you like comedian Jim Gaffigan, but I saw a blurb on TV that said he’s going to appear on Colbert’s show this week. Disappointing.

Why do people on Freerepublic feel they must defend Senate Republicans, a tribe of wimps and rinos? Just because Colbert is criticizing them doesn’t make them worthy of defending. The GOPe counts on this kind of reflexive support from the base, no matter what they do. That’s why they feel they can ignore us and shaft us - and undermine Trump - with no consequences. Stop playing their patsy

Like it or not William3 ....Trump is not running a solo ship here....after all even God uses unbelievers for his purposes.

We can support Republicans that fight for us and stand behind Trump.....but just as Trump will not be perfect in everything he does neither will those with him.

Until the swap is cleared out we have to use what we’ve got to get the job done.....it’s really that simple.

Of course....social media giants are against Trump so we should never expect to see what we want to see...it
is always going to be left stuff that pops up first....same with Twitter, Facebook, and Browsers......that’s just how it is....and how a “coup” works it...Obama set the stage and the traps before he left office....he had 8 yrs to do so and did.

We CAN'T get the job done with the swampthings that treat us like a cheap hooker on election day. Promise anything and everything, get what they want, then treat us like yesterday's trash. If they don't get their act done ASAP, probably should've been months ago, the nation cannot be saved from the coup. Why should we show them any respect?

The assassination attempt on a lot of DC Republicans is to a large part on their hands. If they were standing AS ONE with President Trump, think of everything that would've been accomplished already. Instead, we have Republican swampthings enabling the coup by not standing as one against it.

If the nation is goin' down, it's because establishment Republicans didn't stand with their voting fodder. Why would we ever vote for them again, unless they get their act together?

“We can support Republicans that fight for us and stand behind Trump”

Fine, which ones are those? And do you know what is in the GOP health care bill? If they’re hiding the details, then they don’t deserve defending, just because they’re doing the same thing Pelosi did.

Remember Pelosi saying, “We have to pass the bill so you can see it?”

So now the Republicans are saying the same thing?

Is today one of the days Republicans are stupid because their repeal bill is dead in the Senate, or is it one of the days the Republicans are stupid because they’re moving their repeal bill through the Senate too fast?

If Ryan and McConnell really support Pres. Trump, why can’t the House or Senate get any meaningful legislation passed?

Yes, I love Jim Gaffigan. Someone mentioned his TV show on a thread recently and I said that I’d noticed that it had injected a couple of little digs at Trump last season. They weren’t major at all, but I hope they weren’t a sign of where the show might be heading for the upcoming season (I’m assuming it’s coming back this summer???). I hope Gaffigan isn’t jumping on the Bash Trump bandwagon with everyone else (looking for peer “approval,” or whatever). I don’t watch Colbert at all, and won’t even tune in for Gaffigan’s appearance, but I’ll be curious to know if Jim joins in when Colbert undoubtedly tries to engage him in the Trump bashing.
