She is the daughter of Thomas Anderson Standish, Jr.

Mueller’s maternal grandfather and Richard Mervin Bissell’s mother are brother and sister. So Mueller’s mother was Bissell’s first cousin.

Mueller’ great grandfather (and grandfather of Bissell) was William Haynes Truesdale, president of the Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad.
