I would love it if someone would ask why the government thinks it needs to be in the healthcare business and where they get the authority to do it.

The Preamble to the Constitution lays out the five guiding principles of the Constitution: (1) establish Justice, (2) insure domestic Tranquility, (3) provide for the common defence, (4) promote the general Welfare, and (5) secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.
The physical and mental health of citizens is a component of promoting the general Welfare.
