Why do they seem to think that congressional investigators are merely "the public"?

This does not make sense. Serious, when was the last time I made a transaction with a library, hotel, video rental place, and the records they kept on you was NOT electronic?

We’re to believe these records were either typed on a typewriter or were deleted from the computer they were created with?

... just because the library has one copy doesn’t mean that those electronic records aren’t backed up elsewhere. In fact record retention rules would dictate that those copies are retained for years.
