Only a disturbed person would want to take a bullet. It’s another thing for it to be required as part of your job.

They never take bullets for any particular or president, but for the presidency - at least that’s how they should view they’re duty to the Americans that they serve. So if they’re being honest, then for whatever excuse they want to give, they can no longer do their duty, which is a duty to America and its citizens, not just or not even mainly to the president.
