Dean Heller has earned a new nickname. He should forever more be known as “One & Done Dean.”
It’s amazing that any politician could be this (choose one): A) ignorant, B) clueless, C) self-destructive, or D) All three. Because there’s no question about it- U.S. Senator Dean Heller has just chosen to destroy his own political career. He’s a one term Senator. He’s “One & Done.”
Isn’t politics about making your constituents lives better? Obamacare has wrecked healthcare…wrecked the economy…killed middle class jobs…exploded the welfare state…bankrupted small business and the middle class with massive premium increases…bankrupted Obamacare exchanges from coast to coast…lowered GDP and consumer spending (because after paying for health insurance, no one has any money left)…and added dramatically to the national deficit and debt.
And Dean Heller is the only Republican in America making excuses to keep it. True, there are a handful of Republicans angry that the repeal of Obamacare isn’t conservative enough…won’t encourage free market capitalism enough…doesn’t do enough to actually kill Obamacare. They want the Obamacare repeal to be bigger and bolder.
But Heller is the only Republican Senator in America to oppose the repeal of Obamacare because it does too much to undo Obamacare. Heller wants more Americans on Medicaid. He wants to expand the welfare state. Heller is angry because he doesn’t want to see Obamacare go away.
I’m one of the Nevadans who elected Dean Heller. I elected him specifically to kill Obamacare. Not to expand the number of Nevadans on Medicaid. Not to defend or protect Obamacare. Heller is either clueless, or dumb as a box of rocks. Or maybe he’s dangerous- a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Maybe he’s just not on our side.
This isn’t some “small issue.” Obamacare is about whether capitalism or America survive moving forward. This is about keeping our jobs and careers and ability to feed our children. Obamacare is Exhibit A in how you destroy the great American middle class. This is an instruction manual in how you kill off every small business in America. This is why Obama is the only president in history to produce eight consecutive years of GDP under 3%. The average GDP for all eight years of Obama was 1.3%. That’s the EXACT same GDP for the entire Great Depression.
So, Obama managed to produce the worst economic growth in America’s history…at the same time he produced more debt than all the previous presidents in US history COMBINED. A record of futility unmatched anywhere- except by socialist dictators in Cuba and Venezuela. The centerpiece of all this misery is Obama’s jewel- Obamacare.
And what Heller cares about is protecting Obamacare and expanding Medicaid?
Can Heller do math? No matter what he does, no Democrat from today’s radical, extremist Democrat Party will ever vote for him. Not one liberal student at UNLV. Not one Black Lives Matter protestor. Not one illegal alien. Not one person on welfare, food stamps or Medicaid. Not one feminist for Hillary. Not one Bernie Sanders nutcase. Not one MoveOn.org zombie.
Liberals are laughing at Heller. They know he’s doing their bidding…single-handedly blocking the repeal of Obamacare…while embarrassing President Trump…and damaging the GOP’s chances of keeping Congress in 2018. Heller is the best thing to ever happen to radical Socialist nutcases who dream out loud about the assassination of Trump. They are cheering him on. But he’ll never get one of their votes. Ever.
But in the meantime, Heller has lost his own base. Based on the calls, texts and emails I’ve received in the past 48 hours, Heller would lose in a GOP primary to a door knob. The GOP base now despises Dean Heller. But not because of “politics.” Because of the pain and misery of Obamacare. It’s ruining our lives. It’s destroying the economy. It’s bankrupting us. Every taxpayer… every business owner…every productive citizen…the entire middle class. We’re all being ruined by Obamacare. Don’t we count? Doesn’t our own GOP Senator care about us?
Dean Heller just became the most hated Republican Senator in America…by Republicans. Smart.
Sure Obamacare is great for poor people. Who doesn’t want something valuable for free. What an accomplishment. But the people who are being ripped off to pay the bill are the GOP base. Dean Heller’s base. Those are the people Senator Heller just stabbed in the back. While the people Heller is supposedly “protecting” will never vote for him, no matter what he does for them.
Mark it down- our U.S. Senator Heller just became “One & Done Dean.”

I say go for it. If Nevada is going to become just another leftist dump in the West, then let them keep their ObamaCare and all of our nuclear waste to go with it.
Include little never Trumper Cory Gardner in that one term club also, might as well have a demorat in his place.
Why these guys don’t listen to their constituents is beyond me. Maybe they’d get the message if every voter sent them a cup of tar & a bag of feathers. Not an actual threat, but just to let them know what we’re thinking.
I live in Nevada and look forward to supporting any credible candidate, even if a Democrat. Last election saw another so-called Republican candidate oppose Trump and immediately crashed and burned. They need to get onboard or take a hike. Heller is a long time loser.
It really is hard getting good people to run. Most successful folks who would make good candidates don’t need the pain & aggravation of a political run. But without good people in office we are all screwed.

I don't care what he thinks about Trump - but I don't like his support for DACA and RINOcare, or his opposition to the travel ban.
Heller knew about the corruption Reid carried, I talked with him. He did nothing.
