RUSH: You know, it always amazes me what happens on this program that’s gonna get picked up and smeared — not smeared — broadcast all over everywhere else in the media. And there are two things. Yesterday on this program I offered the opinion that Trump may in fact spell the end of CNN. That he’s driving them crazy to the point that they are imploding. And it’s gotten even worse since we were here yesterday. Now there’s CNN people saying that Trump is putting all journalists at danger from gunfire around the world now.
But this Russian story obsession that has nothing to it is driving them nuts and they’re making fools of themselves, and this has been all over the media. They have assembled panels to discuss whether or not this might be the end of CNN! Is Rush right? Could this be? And of course there are people that come along and agree.
The other thing that has captivated the Drive-Bys is my comparison of little Jim Acosta at CNN to my little cat chasing a red laser pointer. That has captivated people. I mean, they’ve written about it; they have spoken about it. It’s just a little analogy. I mean, you have a cat, if you have a cat. It doesn’t matter, kitten or cat — and they never catch on to it, it’s the most amazing thing — grab a red laser pointer and point it near the cat on the floor, on the wall, or on the side of the sofa, and the cat will try to catch it.
If you point it right in front of its paws the cat will swat at it trying to catch it. And it never can and never figures it out. It looks at me plaintively like, “What’s going on?” And that’s when I double down on the torment. And I said this is what Jim Acosta reminds me of, what they’re doing to him in the pressroom. They got him crashing into walls. They’ve got him falling off the sofa. And that has been picked up. We got the audio sound bites of this to illustrate.
Rush, it was a great line. And yes, some shows added it to their clips they broadcast. No need to brag about it, geez.
That’s Rush.....if you haven’t figured that out by now maybe choose another radio program to frequent.
LOL — We’re all laughing along with Rush about it. Rush knows THEM so well and they’ve never been able to figure out how to react to Rush effectively. Good on Rush.
He is still the master political analyst of our time.
Yesterday at the gym, I found out an old Samsung VHS remote I had could change the channels on one of the TV's hanging over the exercise bikes..
They always have this on CNN. Everytime I walk by it, seems that homo with the white hair is on. usually some Trump this or that on the streamer. Anyway, hit the channel up and it is on Fox! Funny thing is, the Fox streamer had Limbaugh's statement about ending CNN. It was a perfect segue.
I agree Rush is a bit of a self-promoter. But he’s entitled to brag he’s done much he’s a big voice for us and I can forgive him for what he has done here.
Also part of his stick is to brag and say he’s the greatest political analyst of all times and that he’s always right and he does this to drive the Liberals crazy and you know, it works.
Fluffy Lurkin seems to have figured out he can’t catch it. Just sits and looks bored as the red dot dances and darts in front of him.
I absolutely love rush to pieces but since his daily bread and butter centers on the meaningful use of words I wish ardently that he would learn how to properly use the word:
LITERALLY
it has been decades and he still he cannot do this.
he comes from a long line of storied lawyers, natural and precise word craftsman, yet he persists stubbornly, like the bouncy,hypermammified high school cheerleader who cannot shake use of the word LIKE 10 times in every sentence.
I have been with Rush from the very beginning and even gleefully lead one vicious attack on his enemies, but this habit of his is beneath him and it is shocking.

It’s funny how easy it is to troll liberals. They bite every time. Both Trump and Rush do this to them daily and they go nuts. They can’t deal with it at all.
That is because
They have no ability to see past the words spoken to them in order to determine if they are being baited.
They have NO ability to self reflect.
They have NO sense of humor.

I don’t mind his shtick. I used to like it. I’ve broken up with him but still give Rush full credit for all he taught me.
My comment was just, when you drop a great line, drop it and move on. It was a genius line about the cat following the pointer, and he was quoted all over Fox that night with video. At which point there is no need to keep at it, how funny I am, etc. But that is his thing.
I don’t listen to him any longer myself. I do go too his website occasionally and just get sort of the recap for the previous show.
