This is a good thing. I have given this hours of thought over the years, and suspension of the license for traffic tickets, or even for no insurance is folly. I cannot count how many friends or acquaintances that went absolutely TU over insurance fines, cars towed and licenses suspended. All this to guarantee customers for Insurance companies.

It should be a simple thing, if you want your auto insured, your injuries covered from accidents, feel free to purchase insurance. The lawmakers though, cleverly made it so your insurance covers my damages, and mine covers yours. Why not just have your insurance cover your damages?

Traffic violations have now lost their meaning in Kalifornia. No penalty = no wrong.

I really hope the Victor Davis Hanson writes about this soon.

He alluded to this tactic in "Mexifornia". Illegals were tapping the power lines and other code violations and nothing was every done. If the Anglos did it, the State came down on them like a ton of bricks. The rationale was that the Anglos had the money, the illegals didn't.
