I would agree, but remember Gary Dotson? He spent six years in prison after being convicted of a rape that later turned out to be a false accusation. What f he and men like him were executed?

Happens more than you think, all it takes is for someone to accuse and even without hard evidence, the accused CAN be found guilty. “She said/he said”. I’d bet money there are several sitting in jail right now awaiting their day in the chair..
A false rape accusation should be treated as attempted murder. Slander murders reputations and lives. Indeed in Judaism slander is as the crime of murder.
