Another powerful tech investor is apologizing for his inappropriate behavior toward women in the industry. "I made advances toward multiple women in work-related situations, where it was clearly inappropriate," Dave McClure, the cofounder of accelerator and investment firm 500 Startups, wrote in a post he titled "I'm a creep. I'm sorry." A day earlier, "Shark Tank" star and venture capitalist Chris Sacca, an early investor in Twitter and Uber, admitted that he has contributed to tech's sexist culture. The admissions come on the heels of a disturbing story about Binary Capital investor Justin Caldbeck. Six female founders, three of whom were identified by name, shared stories of interactions with Caldbeck with The Information just over a week ago. The story lit a fire in Silicon Valley, prompting more women to come forward with their stories of tech's problematic power dynamics. McClure is the latest to be at the center of this issue.

What’s wrong with trying to pick up chicks?
They say no, move on.
They say yes, cool.
I don’t understand certain things.
So now we’re saying there’s a “sexist” culture in the tech world, because so many men are there?
So now, men in that world need to “confess” their alleged transgressions, because-—because why?
To prove that they are “liberal” and “politically correct” and “sensitive to women’s needs” or what the heck is the reason for this in the first place???
He should just say, “It’s no big deal, I modeled my life after our great democrat president, Bill Clinton. The media didn’t have a problem with it when he was president. Are we regressing as a society and getting more sexually repressed?”
What isn’t inappropriate behavior toward women now days?.
I think you hit the nail on the head.
And as far as the “sexual revolution” is concerned, we’re supposed to all welcome all kinds of sexual behavior, any number of partners, partners of either sex, for example.
So what is their beef exactly?
There was a glorious time in this country when a man could have decanters of scotch on a mahogany wet bar in his office.
His secretary’s job description was schedule meetings, take dictation and have regular sex with her married boss.
Feminism has screwed up everything!
Silly tech investor... sex with subordinates only works out in porn movies.
Ah, the old Bill Clinton sexual evolution that no one gives him credit for:
Hillary Clinton: he would screw a snake;
Juanita B........ rapes, “put some ice on it”, advice;
Paula Jones...... hotel room, instructs her to “Kiss It”;
Kathleen Wiley,(recently Widowed)cops a feel when asked for help;
Monica...... redemption, God is good, opportunity knocks at Oval Office door.
Halleluiah.
A friend of mine works at a start-up. Everyone is male there - and they make Trump’s locker room talk look tame. Their lawyer told them to NEVER hire a woman as they would get immediately sued - so they will not do so. And if they go IPO, it will be an all male millionaires club.
I guess that’s called ‘the consequences’ of our left-wing society.
Dating for men in Silicon Valley is really tough.
5-1 ratio of available men to women.
Work demands require you to constantly work.
Great shopping for women if you can afford to live there.
“Work demands require you to constantly work.”
I suspect this is the primary reason for:
“5-1 ratio of available men to women.”
Despite every effort to “diversify” STEM fields, in the end, too many women don’t want that lifestyle - not just working like a man, but working like the most motivated men. Much easier to settle down in a much less demanding job and b!tch about how much more the motivated men earn...
Wealthy guys chasing women. There’s something new. :-)
