CNN has a problem.

.
The GA Code explains that someone could be guilty of “Theft by extortion” if they threaten to “disseminate any information tending to subject any person to hatred, contempt, or ridicule or to impair his credit or business repute.”

CNN has a problem.

Time Warner has a problem.

If Redit and CNN, both Time Warner companies, conspired on this, the RICO laws could well kick in.

AT&T would be wise to repudiate their offer to buy Time Warner, or else risk getting tarred by this scandal.

Yeah CNN made a huge mistake. Doxing is not illegal, threatening to Dox someone unless they do something IS very illegal.
