“Love his accent”
LOL! Me to but my favorite is Scottish.
All in all no matter what accent, this man doesn’t suffer fools gladly.
I’m ecstatic our side is finally starting to push back. Meme wars have been priceless!
It was always difficult to tell a customer that they did not qualify for their loan. Some demanded to speak to the underwriter, which was usually not allowed, depending on the company.
But at one company I worked at, the underwriter was an older English lady, Betty, with a beautiful accent and she could sound very authoritative. She had to be. She was the last word on whether the loan was approved or not.
It never failed, when a customer was upset when told their loan request was being declined and they demanded to speak to the underwriter, Betty would school them on why they didn't qualify and did so with an air of authority and aristocrat at the same time.
Those angry customers always wilted under Betty's explanation. She was great. And her accent was 90% of her effectiveness.
