They really don’t want to know because high level Republicans will ultimately be implicated, seeing as how Fusion GPS was originally hired to dig dirt on Trump not by the Hillary Clinton campaign but by the Jeb Bush campaign. So, they have every motivation to issue these dire statements and letters, then not follow up on them. Matter of fact, it sounds just like Republican behavior in the House and Senate, they only run their mouths about doing anything because they know they’re not going to have to actually do anything about it. Now that Trump is President, what do we see? Dithering, excuses, hostility and inaction just as always, but merely *sounding* conservative isn’t cutting it anymore because they have a President who doesn’t play their game anymore.
I fear you are right but I am encouraged to know that President Trump will very likely not sit still for this because he hardly needs the job he has, can not possibly aspire to any public job of greater importance and knows his future is as bright as can be imagined without having to deal with the total as*holes in Congress.
