From ‘reset’ to ‘pause’: The real story behind Hillary Clinton’s feud with Vladimir Putin
Washington Post ^ | 11/3/16 | Joby Warrick and Karen DeYoung

Posted on 07/11/2017 12:08:53 PM PDT by EBH

“The Russian people, like people everywhere, deserve the right to have their voices heard and their votes counted,” Clinton said during a speech that month in Lithuania. “And that means they deserve fair, free, transparent elections and leaders who are accountable to them.”

After her speech, when demonstrations in Moscow grew still larger, Putin suggested that his political opponents were following marching orders from Clinton and her team.

Opposition parties “heard the signal, and with the support of the U.S. State Department began active work,” Putin said. Kremlin officials repeated the charge in private meetings with U.S. diplomats, expressing a vehemence that surprised some Obama administration officials...

...Kupchan said he thinks that Russia’s role in the hacking, if verified, was “more about sowing some chaos in the U.S. system than about any real hope of Trump winning.” But he said it also reflects a shot across Clinton’s bow, as her record suggests that she would be tougher and more outspoken on Russia compared with her predecessor.

This is actually a great read! And in so many ways explains if Russia did get involved in our election...it wasn't because of Trump or even really for Trump.

It was to not have to deal with Clinton. Russian interference in our election process (if it occurred) was the direct result of the 0bama/Clinton foreign policy.

Given the reliance on oil exports in holding together Russia’s economy, it is unlikely they would assist Trump who advocated energy independence and LNG exports to Europe. A double whammy on Russia’s economy and power.

Yah, we’d probably already be at war with Russia under Hillary.

This is actually a rational article about hacking the emails, if that’s what really happened. But note it was written November 3, when the entire Washington establishment was certain Clinton would win. The batshit crazy stuff happened after Hillary lost.

“He was a KGB agent — by definition he doesn’t have a soul,” Clinton said.

Most of our media ideas come from this pig of a human.

The Clintonistas, by definition, lack souls.

Yep, given everything that is shaking and breaking I thought it relevant to revisit it.

Trump Jr. was played as a pawn in the game. How might one say it, “useful idiot.”

What happened was all Putin verses Hillary feuding.

Now I’d love to get back to MAGA soon.

That’s the slight-of-hand explanation to hide the fact that the Clintons had sold their souls to the Saudis to get a pipeline installed through Syria to transport Arabian oil.

Everything about the “Muh Russia” narrative traces back to bribes and illegal contributions to the Clinton Foundation.

if Russia did get involved in our election

There is no credible evidence that Russia did anything they're alleged to have done. None... It's a fraudulent Dem/MSM political strategy, and should always be referred to as such.

Brilliant connection. Saudis pipeline take business away from Russia...

I knew Trump would have his hands full untangling the web or foreign policy debacles, but at some point when does Clinton and 0bama get called before the World Court for crimes against humanity in destabilizing the middle east?

You and me both. But Putin’s rather lame actions have succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. He has destabilized the American government, political class and news media. Those idiot Dems and mediots are doing exactly what he wants.

I had the feeling that Putin wanted Trump to win. Shortly after the election Putin made some conciliatory statements. When the dims jumped on those as evidence of collusion, the tone quickly changed.

Just my suspicions, with no real basis.

THE CLINTON FAMILY BUSINESS There may be no Clinton Foundation office in Moscow or St. Petersburg, but it is not for lack of trying. Bill Clinton received half a million dollars in 2010 for a speech he gave in Moscow, paid by a Russian firm, Renaissance Capital, that has ties to Russian intelligence. The Clinton Foundation took money from Russian officials and oligarchs, including Victor Kekselberg, a Putin confidant. The Foundation also received millions of dollars from Uranium One, which was sold to the Russian government in 2010, giving Russia control of 20% of the uranium deposits in the U.S. — the sale required approval from Hillary Clinton's State Department. What's more, at least some of these donations weren't disclosed.

THAT WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME THE NYT MET UP w/ THE TRUTH

Earlier, The New York Times reported the Clintons' connections thusly: "Cash Flowed to Clinton Foundation Amid Russian Uranium Deal." Plus Bill Clinton pocketed $500,000 from a Moscow investment bank for a brief speech.

However, The NYT and Washington Post never reported Pravda's headline: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.” Imagine if a Republican State Department approved such a deal?

More egregiously, Hillary's campaign chairman, the ubiquitous John Podesta, acting as "The Podesta Group" (co-founded w/ his brother, Tony) lobbied on behalf of Uranium One, after most of it was owned by Russia.

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

Circa 2010--Ex-Pres Clinton in Moscow having a laugh w/ Putin
as strategic US uranium deposits were sold off to Russia for Big Bucks
facilitated by Secy Clinton, as Bill globe-trotted to set up the deal.

"Hahahaha. A Moscow bank paid 500,000 for my speech. And I get a commission on the deal."

"Hahahahaha. US National security? You gotta be kidding, Vlad. Hahahahaha."

The Clintons ties to Russia have been ignored far too long. The infamous Russian uranium deal occurred during President Obama’s administration....but, of course, Obama knows nothing about it (/sarc).

January 2013 Pravda trumpeted Putin’s coup: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.” Details how the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom, had taken over a Canadian company with uranium-mining stakes stretching from Central Asia to the American West."

"Beyond mines in Kazakhstan that are among the most lucrative in the world, the sale gave the Russians control of one-fifth of all uranium production capacity in the United States. Since uranium is considered a strategic asset, with implications for national security, the deal had to be approved by a committee composed of representatives from a number of United States government agencies. Among the agencies that eventually signed off was the State Department, then headed by Hillary Rodham Clinton."

==================================================

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation.

The Clintons have yet to explain these reports: “As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation.”

Ian Telfer, Uranium One’s chairman, used his family foundation to make four donations to the Clinton Foundation totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

(NOTE: The IRS asserts the biggest money laundering, IRS evasion occurs when one foundation writes a check to another foundation---the MO "charities" use to siphon off tax-free money for themselves.)
