Alan Dershowitz: 'I Don't See a Crime' With Don Jr.
Newsmax ^ | 12 Jul 2017 | Todd Beamon

Posted on 07/12/2017 8:22:09 AM PDT by mandaladon

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told Newsmax TV on Tuesday that "I don't see a crime" in Donald Trump Jr.'s meeting last year with a lawyer with ties to the Russian government.

"Even if there was coordination, even if the worst-case scenario as far as we know now is the Russians getting in touch with Trump Jr. and saying: 'We have some dirt on Hillary Clinton. Come. We'll give it to you,'" he told Miranda Khan on "America Talks Live" in an interview.

"And he goes and gets the information.

"That's what The New York Times did in the Pentagon Papers. That's what The Washington Post did and many other newspapers did with information from [Edward] Snowden and [Chelsea] Manning.

"You are allowed legally to use material that was obtained illegally, as long as you had nothing to do with the illegal nature of obtaining the information.

"So, at the moment, I see no legal jeopardy for Trump Jr.," Dershowitz concluded, "but of course we have to know more facts.

"Simply using the material that you know was obtained illegally is not at the moment regarded as a crime.

"It would be wrong to prosecute somebody for that non-crime."

Dershowitz says "It would be wrong to prosecute somebody for that non-crime." Any reasonable person would think the same, but we aren't dealing with reasonable people...

I think the fact we have found at least one semi-honest liberal lawyer in Mr. Alan Dershowitz is a reason we should all go out and buy ourselves a lotto ticket...

I think the people who set up the meeting were going for an action that would support a FISA warrant.

Obama let this lawyer because he wanted a FISA warrant to tap Trump.
The Democrats used the Russians to influence the election.

Once you accept the fact that the media and dems (the media’s political arm) want total dictatorial powers and to see the destruction of this country, everything that comes out of their mouths becomes easy to understand.

I know Habeus Corpus is just a consideration for the courts, but it would be nice if the news media paid attention to it as well. These blow-hard say that Trump violated the law. But they won’t say which law. That’s very convenient for them.

Seems logical, and considering the characters involved in setting up the FISA warrant, likely.

Dershowitz seems to be the last sane person on that side of the aisle.

“I think the people who set up the meeting were going for an action that would support a FISA warrant.”

Correct-A-Mundo. The FBI opened their Trump campaign investigation a month after the meet.

That email from Goldstone is obviously a set-up with all those “Russia” specifics.

Goldstone: “The Crown prosecutor of Russia met with his father Aras [a Moscow-based developer who tried to partner with Trump in a hotel project] this morning and in their meeting offered to provide the Trump campaign with some official documents and information that would incriminate Hillary [Clinton] and her dealings with Russia and would be very useful to your father.

This is obviously very high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government’s support for Mr Trump – helped along by Aras and Emin.”

In order to get someone for perjury, they have to be proven to have lied while under oath. Don. Jr. was not under oath.

And how many people did Team Hillary and company meet with in order to obtain alleged dirt on candidate Donald Trump?

The problem with this theory is that it involves implicating chaika..an oligarch. .and the son in law of the President of Azerbaijan.

Okay...so was deep state trying frame them...

No...because goldstone reps son in law...and the meeting happened

It is more likely this was a set up from russia side..maybe deep state knew about it due to surveillance of one or more Involved parties and that got the warrant

Cant see how this was from our side unless at least one of them is an asset...but that is a possibility!

Don’t know about you guys — this alone clenches the matter for me.

God bless all of you for your hard patriotic efforts!
