On the campaign trail, President Trump seemed to be as clueless (imo) about the federal governments constitutionally limited powers as most voters evidently are.
As a consequence, Trump greatly underestimated the size of the corrupt, DC swamp that needs to be cleaned up imo, getting voters' hopes too high with some of his promises, not that he wont be able to keep his promises. Itll be later than sooner.
In fact, a president doesnt have the constitutional power to single-handedly clean up Congress. Its the voters who have that power.
Thats why patriots need to give Trump as much of a new Congress that they can that will support him in 2018.
In other words, while Trump is potentially one of the best presidents that the country will ever have, Trumps first two years in office are arguably practice imo.
“Trump greatly underestimated the size of the corrupt, DC swamp that needs to be cleaned up...”
As did we all — underestimated the corruption. I don’t know about everyone else but even thought I knew DC was a cesspool I had no idea how deep and ugly it was. It’s mind boggling, really.
