Greg Abbott is running for governor again.
The governor formally launched his re-election campaign to a crowd of sign-waving supporters and friends Friday, not far from where he launched his first bid for the state’s highest office four years ago.
"To keep Texas the best very state in the United States, I am running for reelection as governor of the great state of Texas," Abbott said to cheers.

He doesn’t seem to be the idiot that his two most recent predecessors were.
Personally, he should have challenged Lyn’ Ted.
He’s a damn good governor, from what I can tell. And he was a damn good AG opposing Obama before that. Greg Abbot.
He had been a great governor. He will win with minimal effort and expense.
I was most amused when "Abortion Barbie" Wendy Davis his last democrat opponent suggested he was racist. Governor Abbots wife is Mexican, as mine I highly recommend them. To counter the charge Abbott said nothing. He just had his mother in law stand up and talk about her son in law, with a very heavy Mexican accent. The accent was not fake. That is just the way she speaks. Governor Abbott will be governor as long as he wants unless he decided to be President Abbott. Not a bad idea at all.
