GORE-LICKED: Kushner’s Lawyer Calls It Quits As Russia Probe Heats Up
Daily Caller ^ | July 14 2017 | Kevin Daley

Posted on 07/16/2017 5:20:52 AM PDT by Whenifhow

Jared Kushner’s personal counsel, Jamie Gorelick, said Friday that she is no longer representing the president’s son-in-law and senior aide on Russia-related inquiries.

Abbe Lowell, an attorney at Gorelick’s firm, will take charge of Kushner’s legal team.

“As you may recall, and as we have stated, once Bob Mueller and three of our partners left the firm to form the Special Counsel’s Office [at the Department of Justice], we advised Mr. Kushner to get independent legal advice whether to continue with us as counsel,” Gorelick told the National Law Journal. “As [a] result of this process, Abbe is now responsible for the Russia-related inquiries.”

Bob Mueller practiced at Gorelick’s firm, WilmerHale, before he was tapped by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to serve as special counsel for the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Her departure comes as Kushner has been forced to amend his security clearance application several times, to reflect previously undisclosed meetings with lawyers and political operatives with Kremlin ties.

Gorelick served as Deputy Attorney General during the Clinton administration. She was widely considered the frontrunner for Attorney General had Hillary Clinton prevailed in 2016.

Obama buddy Branson is happy to talk positively of Kushner, while continuing to attack the President in a very nasty way!
such hypocrisy from a guy who owns an airline.
Guardian’s fake headline is about “a feeling” Richard has:

16 Jul: Guardian: Oliver Milman: Trump regrets ‘bizarre mistake’ of Paris climate pullout, Branson claims
“I’ve got a feeling that the president is regretting what he did. Maybe his children and son in law [adviser Jared Kushner] are saying, ‘Look, I told you so.’ Hopefully there is a positive change of mind.”...

“Trump had hundreds of the most influential business leaders in the world speaking to him and he ignored them, so there’s no guarantee that he’ll change his mind,” Branson said.
“Who knows what goes in there,” he added, pointing to his head. “The Paris decision was a bizarre mistake...
“You have people in America who believe the world was made 5,000 years ago. There are some strange people out there who have got into heady positions in the American government. You have the strange position of a cabal of people with very influential positions in America making these decisions.”
Branson admitted that he was unlikely to sway Trump, given his previous criticism of the president...

Kushner is more stupid than I thought if he is buying into the advice he has received.

In MY book, Jamie Gorelick is a lying, conniving, anti-American creep. It was HER ruling, backed up by Slick Willie, that forbade gubmint intelligence depts to exchange enemy intelligence among themselves; opening the door for the surprise of 9-11.

Despite nasty comments I received because of my views of Gorelick, I have to agree with you completely. For the Kushners to deal with a firm that had Gorelick, Lowell and at one time Mueller is liberal madness. None of those attorneys can be trusted!

THis is the same Jamie that isolated our national security agencies from cross sharing information, crippling their abilities to protect us.

The same Jamie that sat on the 911 sham hearings.

And Jared wonders why he's having problems?

Bob Mueller practiced at Gorelick’s firm, WilmerHale, before he was tapped by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to serve as special counsel for the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Say what?

Mueller practiced in that POS Gorelick's law firm? Oh yeah, he is the perfect guy to act as an independent counsel. His integrity is unchallenged. Yeah, right.

The fact that Gorelick is Kushner's attorney tells you everything you want to know about Jared Kushner.

The fact that Mueller practiced in Gorelick's law firm tells you everything you want to know about the integrity of Robert Mueller.

Probably a million lawyers in this country to choose from and Rosenstein picks a good old Washington insider as "special counsel." And plucks him right out of a Democrat cesspool law firm to boot. Oh boy!

“Honestly, not sure why Co President Jared didn’t just hire Eric Holder? “

Gorelick is even worse.

Among some there is the belief that to be effective, a lawyer has to be connected. I.e.: he/she needs to have positive, productive relationships with the local PTB.

The simple truth is that in DC it is far easier to be connected as a Democrat than as a Republican. DC is a liberal Democrat town. It’s that way when the Democrats are in charge, and it’s that way when the Uniparty is ostensibly in charge. It shouldn’t be this way, but it is. Facts are facts.

She doesn't need to defect. She's already been there for years.

Ding! What kills me is how so many in the Trump team do not seem to realize that these people are ideologically driven. Why Trump (and family) would willingly taken them onto their team is beyond me. Unless they are keeping their enemies closer than friends.
