To: Attention Surplus Disorder

Something else to consider here is that the source the New York Times had for the Trump Jr. e-mail story had given this information to them a year ago. If this was such a serious matter, why didn’t they run the story before Election Day? I suspect it’s because the details behind the story may end up damaging Democrats more than the Trump people when all the facts are out.

Definitely a possibility.

Above all, the exercise of considering these possibilities is revealing in terms of 1: we ordinary civilians getting our information 17th-hand have ZERO ability to discern what is factually true, and 2: Without a serious level of skepticism we are supremely vulnerable to every spin attempt there is or might be. There’s only one true truth. There are 15 different versions of spin and outright tale-telling.
