I don’t believe I suggested in my post that people were ever particularly virtuous.
The legal, religious, and social underpinnings of actual “traditional marriage” required the existence of mistresses, whorehouses, and handsome gardeners, for sure. In fact, it was the existence of handsome gardeners that made the law that the children born of a wife’s body belonged to her husband, resemblance to Heathcliff be damned.

I think it was abolished as a part of the institution of “no fault” divorce necessitated by the real or potential “bursting at the seams” of state judicial systems due to the rise in the number of divorces.

Already, sodomites are attacking churches for upholding doctrine WITHIN the church - something the sodomites told us they would NEVER do. A Catholic School in Massachusetts was successfully sued for not hiring a practicing sodomite. A church in the Chicago area was sued unsuccessfully for firing a homosexual music director because he “married” another man. The reasoning was tenuous at best, arguing that had the position NOT been a “ministerial” position, the Catholic diocese could have been found guilty of “discrimination.”
So, now the state will take over determining who is a minister or not.
Kennedy, Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan are criminals who must be impeached. They have acted entirely outside the Constitution.

It’s not a failure for the communists who want to destroy our nation. It’s a priority. I believe it’s in the full list mentioned in an above post.
