BROKE: New FEC Report Shows DNC Finished June $3.3 Million in Debt
Gateway Pundit ^ | July 20, 2017 | Joshua Caplan

Posted on 07/22/2017 1:05:30 AM PDT by Vince Ferrer

It is difficult to post the entire article here because of graphics, so I will excerpt the important part:

The organization reported that May 2017 was its worst fundraising month since the Iraq War in 2003, and April 2017 was its worst fundraising month since 2009. In May, the DNC also reported that it has $1.9 million in debt. Despite the fact that former Secretary of Labor Tom Perez was recruited by Barack Obama to appease the party’s donors, lobbyists and PACs, even they have refused to prop up the failing brand.

Not approving of the strategies laid out at a retreat for donors in January 2017, billionaires Mark Pincus and Reid Hoffman started their own political organization, Win the Future. As donors are increasingly tired of seeing their investments go to waste, many have started their own funds or used their access to take over leadership positions themselves—such as Florida billionaire donor Stephen Bittel did to become the Florida Democratic Party chair earlier this year. Democratic billionaire J.B. Pritzker is running for governor of Illinois, and billionaire Tom Steyer is debating running for governor of California. Haim Saban and James Simons poured millions into Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, but they have yet to be listed by the FEC as DNC donors in 2017. Additionally, George Soros has only given $33,900 to the DNC in 2017, but he poured millions of dollars into the Democratic Party in 2016.

There are a bunch of billionaire donors keeping their money out of the DNC, forming their own left wing groups, and looking to run for office. The DNC can't control them, or enforce any cohesive ideology. The democrat party today is now like the republican 2016 primary crowd of candidates, but with all of the candidates some version of Trump. They will crack the democrat party, and once there are gaps in the cracks, the groups will splinter off, and not unite for an election. It also means that they will not be able to moderate the party as a whole in order to win back red states, the rust belt, or great lakes states.

I was thinking the democrat party would eventually crack up, but I was thinking in 2020. We may be seeing it happening right now.

In May, the RNC spent $10.5 million, finishing with $41.8 million in cash on hand and no debt.

Good comment, VF.

If they have a rift in the party it will make elections hard to win....just as the rift over Bernie made the going hard for them.

Now if Trump and the idiot republican congress can stop subsidizing the DNC with pass through such as funding Planning Parenthood and then PP giving to the DNC, then they can get deeper in debt.

they’ve been using “russia, russia, russia!” as their fundraising theme and it isn’t working.

Kind of clear that Democrats have no ability to control spending.

I am reminded how Reagan spent The Soviet Union into collapse.

Considering how broke they are and the status of the Bernie Sanders supporter lawsuit against the DNC, I am reminded of some mischief that can happen when an organization files for bankruptcy.

I forget the exact details, but maybe 15 years ago a bar use to have a caged monkey The Humane Society for a specific state held protests outside the bar. Well the animal rights group ran into financial trouble and the bar bought the web domain and created a very interesting website The officers of the local chapter protested, the national organization came in and threatened and ultimately bought the domain back for a huge amount.

I wonder what Republicans could offer to a Bankruptcy judge for the copyrights to Past DNC press documents, web domains, electronic files, etc. Maybe this is the way to destroy Democrats

We are headed toward a replay of the civil war. Democrats act selfish and irresponsibly, create a crisis for the country and a Republican president comes in to give them a thumping as they rebel, and Republicans win the civil war.

Rush has made the point in his recent broadcasts that the energy of the left wing is in the media and not the DNC. It is the media that is driving Russia! Russia! Russia!, not the DNC. Not saying they don’t go along for the ride, but they are not the driving force. So, if they think the message is tired or off-center, they are not in control of it.

Imagine a disillusioned Donald Trump voter, contemplating his vote in 2018. Gee, the republicans aren’t getting things done like I wanted. I think i’ll vote democrat because they’re for ...... ???

The Democrats run their own party much as they would govern - deficits forever, always casting after futile goals and with no positive message.

“A Better Deal: Better Skills, Better Jobs, Better Wages”

WTH does that even MEAN? No clue as to how to get there from here.

Vince, After working hard for your money would you give any of it to a creep like Tom Perez? To spend as he sees fit?
Guy has as much class as he has brains, and that seems like not too much.

The Dems gambled big time on Ossoff to best Handel. It was a contest they badly needed win, to break their losing streak and regain some momentum.

Looking at their most recent fundraising numbers, it’s apparent that even liberals have a limit when it comes to throwing good money after bad.

$3.3 million is pocket change to the likes of Soros, Kerry, Gore, Clintons, Finestein, Polosie, Obamas. Any one or combination of these can pay this off and hold it over the DNCs head.
