I wish we had 51 more just like him. All too often, Rand Paul seems to be the only one in Congress who has bothered reading the Constitution and taking positions that are in line with this document.
People here may not like this position which goes against conservatives' puritanical need to punish people, but it is consistent with Paul's libertarianism.
I'll take Rand Paul's occasionally ill-tasting medicine over damn near everyone else in the fetid Congressional swamp.

Bail is determined by risk of flight and danger to the community. The left always freaks out when it counts how that shakes out in a racial analysis, but they need to look elsewhere for the reason it occurs. The problem lies upstream, long before people get involved in the criminal justice system.
