CNN's season premiere of Declassified: Untold Stories of American Spies will focus on undercover Russian sleeper agents living in the U.S., according to the network.
The Spies Next Door: Operation Ghost Stories, reveals the story of undercover Russian sleeper agents living in the U.S. and one of the largest counterintelligence investigations in the history of the FBI," reads a news release from the network.
The series airs Saturday nights at 9 p.m. EST and is hosted by former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.).
"I think people love a good spy story. The first episode is a really good spy story," Rogers told TheWrap.com on Thursday.
"These were Russian spies with American sounding names who were posing as your neighbor, your work colleague, your friend. Having the possibility of a spy living next door draws people in who are not only interested in spy stories, but also those who are interested in learning more about how the Russians intelligence services operate after being exposed to the current news about their activities in the U.S.," Rogers added. The popularity of FX's "The Americans," a drama about two KGB spies posing as an American couple in suburban Washington, D.C., during the Reagan administration, was not unnoticed by Rogers.
"My wife and I love it. I can say that the spy tradecraft you see is fairly accurate," Rogers said. "The Spies Next Door" comes as investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential campaign and possible collusion with members of Trump campaign has received heavy coverage on CNN and other broadcast news outlets for months.
The series will air in eight parts and will run through Labor Day weekend.

What about all the jihadi sleeper cells?
What about all the illegal alien drug cartel members?
Why oh why did CNN just so happen to settle on Russian spies?
They simply have no clue how foolish they look to most of the public with their Russia! Russia! Russia! fetish.
They all work at cnn
The Communists next door? The Communist in the White House? The Communist cell in Chicago? The Communists in Seattle? The Communists in Honolulu?
I have an idea. Every employee of CNN, and their adult children, should uniform up, and go wage war with Russia. They want the rest of us to. Let them go first. We’ll watch. OR they could sit down and shut up and stop with the rabblerousing. Do they have any idea how many people of Russian descent are in the USA and who are really starting to resent CNN’s insistence every Russian is evil? It’s almost as if CNN is racist and genocidal.
How about all those GLOBALIST SUBVERSIVES posing as MSM reporters?
Hell no. They are going to dig up tail gunner Joe and have him go on a witch hunt with them.
HOW STUPID and ignorantly irresponsible.
CNN = Rats = CPUSA = Rooskies
There are a very large number of both Russian and Chinese recent immigrants in the US. Undoubtedly some percentage of them feel a strong enough love, affiliation, or duty to the “motherland”, and/or a weak enough commitment to the United States, that they would perform various degrees of favors for foreign intelligence organizations.
Steamy photos of Ana Chapman.
Not all of them are Russian agents. Many work for other enemies like China, the Islamic State, Mexico or Hillary Clinton.
This from the same people who applauded the commies in the USSR back in the days...
Notice they don’t use the words “Soviet” or “communist”. It’s “Russia” we should be paranoid of now, because they’re trying to push their conspiracy theory.
I think the Russians are the new tenants living rent free inside what we can loosely call the brains of CNN executives and reporters. They’re sharing the penhouse suite with the president.
