The Daily Caller reported that the FBI has taken the smashed hard drives from the home of Pakistani-born Imran Awan, a former IT aide that worked for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL). The Capitol Police took “computer equipment tied to the Florida lawmaker.”

The veteran discovered “wireless routers, hard drives that look like they tried to destroy, laptops, [and] a lot of brand new expensive toner.”

You are right about the "rank and file" Special Agents. Seems as if the higher one climbs in any bureaucracy, the survival instinct kicks in replacing organizational pride. Field Agents have a difficult enough job enforcing our laws while putting up with governmental and political hacks in their on-going self aggrandizement and self promotion. The hard working and dedicated Special Agents need our support.

The Directors office may be screwed up, but the field offices and labs are top drawer. Those are the real professionals in the FBI. Because of Comey, anything that must pass through the Directors office will be suspect.
