I’m safe (from Chipotle), never liked their food, but YMMV.

Chipotle: Home of the illegal alien who knows nothing of sanitation practices.

Chipotle has an inherently unsanitary business model.

”How is it that of all the fast food places only Chipotle keeps getting hit, and with the timing between hits that is pretty amazing. It’s almost as if with some strategic precision Chipotle gets hit.

May well be sabotage, BUT when the poop hit the fan the first go around I read a very interesting and long article on their food handling / cooking process. Very non traditional, if I recall, so that they could really tout their Organic and Fresh mantra. They may well still have a hole in that process.

I agree even thought my DIL is a mid-level muckity-muck at Chip. I argue that their commitment to the organic ‘green’ concept will be their downfall. A business cannot safely serve veggies that the picker defecated on just before he threw it into the truck.

She is loyal with her rebuttals but I can see concern in her eyes. She has 7-8 years invested including starting when in college. Be a shame to see that experience go down the tubes. First baby on the way also ...

Maybe Taco Belle contaminated the tortilla supply!

People I have known who worked up to mid level in chain restaurants from fast food to casual sit down have been fairly mobile and able to go from one to another. The formula is about the same regardless of brand. I doubt her experience will go to waste.

Agreed. I’ve never seen what the fuss is all about; I find the food mediocre. I live in California and I agree that In N’ Out is the bomb. However, I was recently traveling in the east, and Shake Shack is better. The burger my son had was just as good. I had a Chicago Dog for the first time, and it was just incredible. I like Shake Shack’s much broader menu.

My kid works at Chipotle. Says the GM is a 21 year old kid on a power trip. Says the place is filthy and cleaning is haphazard. Of course, his experience is limited to the single store where he works.

I’ll stick to McDonald’s and Burger King, the BEST PLACES TO EAT in the country

In a pinch, they're passable, but I would not call them anywhere near "the best places to eat in the country."

Have you ever tried Chick-Fil-A? Much better chicken than McD's or BK. Five Guy's burgers are light years beyond anything that McD's or BK make. IMHO.

I will never go to Chipotle again. I don’t like their food that much anyway. Third time in a couple of years that they’ve had customers contract food poisoning from them, that’s bad. Something is amiss.

Twice is a coincidence...

I'll leave it to other readers to remember what a third occurrence almost certainly indicates...

As long as I don't see pierced or tattooed workers preparing or serving my food, I'll continue to patronize Chipotle's.

If local laws allow or require anyone to prepare and/or serve my food, all bets are off.

Their choice.
My choice.

Norovirus is a disease that people know they have. It’s the responsibility of Chipolte to foster an environment in which employees respect what they’re doing enough to keep their hands clean and not come to work when they’re sick. If the chain doesn’t earn cleanliness, loyalty, and respect from their employees, why would I want to eat their food?

Noroviruss must leave a trace.. like antibodies? I assume any normal person who has had it must care or knows. Can a health certificate to check for it by a reputable lab be that expensive?

If this is a deliberate attack by a competitor, serious consequences must apply and I would not want to empower/enable them by yielding to mass hysteria.

I enjoy Chipotle food. One of my favorite go to quick, reasonably priced meals.

Chi Chi’s was great. The only time I got to go to one was when I visited a friend in Maryland.
