I found that out the hard way when I rented a car in Spain recently.
Diesel.. better than electric, unless you count the taxpayer funded, outrageously priced teslas.
I suspect the same collusion here.. why can’t we get a fab diesel that gets killer gas mileage without the strip mined battery powered Pios?
Until we build nuclear plants for electricity, electric cars will be.. heavily subsidized, expensive and unnecessary.
France has announced that they’re going to completely ban diesel cars by 2040 and other European nations are following suit. Paris itself has already banned any diesel car made before 2000 and is implementing a progressive ban on diesels with the idea of banning all diesel cars in the city by the late 2020s. It seems the French finally figured out what that vaguely sticky, gray-brown residue was that was coating everything in Paris.
