Amazon.com says it will hold a giant, multisite job fair next Wednesday to help fill some of the 50,000 jobs open across its U.S. network of fulfillment centers.

Some 1,000 of those jobs are in Washington state.

The e-commerce giant says that on the occasion it calls “Jobs Day” it will welcome applicants at 10 of its warehouses, including the one in Kent, where it plans to hire hundreds. Amazon says it will make “thousands” of job offers on the spot.

The move underscores the continued rapid growth of Amazon’s fulfillment operations. The company has invested billions building new facilities to catch up with increasing customer demand for the products sold on its website, and to keep its promises of ever-quicker delivery.....

Let the TG Crowd fill those positions rather than put the military and taxpayers at risk

This will be an excuse to bring in filthy refugees. Above is an anecdote I found on reddit from a legal taxpaying citizen who was employed at a megacenter.

I personally talked to a person who worked at one of those places. He drove 1 hour to North Jersey, stood on a line all day next to the bar scene in Star Wars, you couldn't bring in a walkman or mp3 player, you were patted down and it was pretty bad. A job made to be replaced by automation hopefully soon.

Bill Nye, the aerospace worker, wanted to be a star, did stuff like Almost Live, then was bright enough to say "Hey! I'll do a science related children's show on TV!"

"Almost Live" was pretty well done for local yokels on a zero budget, about 20 years ago IIRC. The Caveman Kitchen is long gone, sadly - dined on their BBQ many times - notice one of the guys in that last scene was Bill Nye before he got his degree in "Science".

Kent was the old Green River Killer’s dropping place and I think his residence as well.
