Sen. Paul’s bill failed 45-55, seven moderate Republican senators voted against the clean repeal bill. The Senate continues to try to coalesce around an Obamacare repeal compromise bill.

Paul called the bill the “Obamacare Repeal Reconciliation Act of 2017.”

Sen. Paul consistently opposed the leadership’s healthcare bill, the Better Care Reconciliation Act (BCRA); the BCRA failed to pass through a procedural vote Tuesday night in the Senate. Paul offered his clean Obamacare repeal bill that would repeal large sections of Obamacare.

Here are the pukes, RINOS all!
Sens. Dean Heller (R-NV), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Susan Collins (R-ME), John McCain (R-AZ), Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Rob Portman (R-OH) voted against Sen. Paul’s clean Obamacare repeal bill.

Ready made campaign ads to pound them in the primaries.

Especially if they campaigned in the past on repeal.

Like they say, “we will remember in November”.

It that were true McCain and Graham and McConnell and Ryan and dozens of other would have been history long ago.

At first, yes. After time, most warmed up to him.

They liked winning. But as soon as Reagan left the White House, it was right back to "Business as Usual" with Bush.

Maybe it’s time to march in there, grab the traitors by their collars, and drag them outside with a boot to the ass to keep them moving.

...we’ve always had coverage, got laid off, now can’t get it; which is, basically, death.

IMO, most, if not the vast majority of taxpayers can understand that factual pattern if only because they see it might someday pertain to them or someone in their family.

If so, then similar to the goverment requiring auto makers to install seat belts/child seats, etc., it may be an appropriate role for the government to require the marketplace to establish procedures that effectively address the circumstance (one can quickly think of several solutions).

What may be our downfall is the case where the government eliminates the marketplace and completely commandeers healthcare with a single payer system.

To use a phrase often misapplied by Obama, "that is not who we are".

I can’t stand Rand Paul. It always has to be his way or he picks up his marbles and goes home.

I’m furious with him and people like John McCain who are always trying to be Mavericks and make names for themselves, but NEVER accomplish anything for the American people.

Even Ted Cruz and Mark Meadows, who are just as conservative as Rand Paul, had enough sense to see the greater good of stripping Obamacare of its mandate and tax penalties, defunding Planned Parenthood, and sending healthcare back to the states.

And yet, Curly Top, knowing his bill will never pass, refuses to vote for the bill that the House had passed.

Now Rand Paul owns the fact that he helped to keep Obamacare the law of the land, Planned Parenthood funded to kill babies, and our healthcare in the hands of the federal government.

He’s no different than the rest of those liberal Republicans who didn’t want it repealed.

Paul had the right idea but what happened is this little insane nut knew damn well it will not pass. So he would rather keep Obamacare than compromise to a lesser bill.

Canada started this experiment decades back when it “worked” because we were at the beginning of the pyramid scheme. Tons of healthy workers paying for a few sick older people.

America really wants to try this experiment when the pyramid will no longer work?

Welcome to rationed care like the rest of the world.

Remember in September

Sens. Dean Heller (R-NV), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Susan Collins (R-ME), John McCain (R-AZ), Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Rob Portman (R-OH) voted against Sen. Paul’s clean Obamacare repeal bill. All of these senators except for Sen. Collins voted to rescind Obamacare in 2015.

Seven now obvious LIARS and TRAITORS TO THEIR ELECTORATE.

Have these Senators actually read the Repeal Act? Obamacare will continue in place as is for two years, giving time to replace the failed and expensive system with something else.

Senator Debbie Stabenow, on Facebook, put forth this LIE.

If they get their way, tens of millions will be in danger of losing their health insurance by the end of the week. Premiums will skyrocket. Lives will be at risk.

This hysterical claim is not true; maybe at the end of two years something will happen if Stabenow does NOT come up with a free market replacement.

These Senators should be recalled and replaced immediately because they are unfit for office.

Obamacare must be fully repealed.

Replacing one government healthcare plan with another government healthcare plan is a disaster. Neither can possibly deliver quality care at affordable rates because our central government has not, and cannot do what the market/States can do.

Otherwise we are just shifting from crap Obamacare to crap Trumpcare.

Make it illegal to refuse coverage to people with preexisting conditions, and drop the insane requirements for well-care coverage and the system will work for everyone, without government subsidies or further interference.

Remember July 26, 2017, the day gov’t health care was institutionalized by lying, betraying, treasonous, anti-capitalist Republicans.

You’re absolutely right, Rand Paul knew that his bill would never pass, BUT preferred keeping Obamacare and all its destructiveness, including the funding of Planned Parenthood and their slaughter of the unborn, then to be a team player and help end the madness.

What do we think are the next steps? What will Trump try to do? Is this done now?
