I can theorize that if she had had 10,000 assistants, probably no one would say a word.

Michelle came to the White House with a huge chip on her shoulder...after eight years most of that chip is still there. After half a year of boob belts, and other fashion disasters someone took her in tow and taught her how to dress and act like the lady of the house.
