Democrats Perfect Art of Delay While Republicans Fume Over Trump Nominees
The New York Times ^ | July 17, 2017 | CARL HULSE

The procedure for withholding consent is straightforward, but deploying it is tricky. For the Senate to move in a timely fashion on any order of business, it must obtain unanimous support from its members. But if a single senator objects to a consent agreement, McConnell, now majority leader, will be forced to resort to time-consuming procedural steps through the cloture process, which takes four days to confirm nominees and seven days to advance any piece of legislation — and that’s without amendment votes, each of which can be subjected to a several-day cloture process as well.

The only thing that can reliably overcome this abuse is public awareness with everyone calling their respective swamp critters.

Imagine what the NY Times headline would be had the situation been reversed.

And McConnell can nuke the rules any time he really wants to.

Or he can just recess, and let Trump do recess appointments of every single outstanding nominee.

THe point remains, the Democrats did what it took to pass Obamacare, and the (blank) damned Republicans can’t get anything done to repeal it.

Who is the stupid party again?

Trump needs to fill every one of those open positions with recess appointments the minute the gavel on the recess is dropped.

Then give them all marching orders to drain the swamp.

We are way past the point of “calling them” now.

McConnell can also declare the senate in continuous session, 24 / 7 until all nominees ans all outstanding business is addressed.

Trouble is he and the rest of the Uniparty do not want to.

All they want to do is sabotage the President and get back to their cozy little games.

DRAIN THE SWAMP!!!!

Trump is not up to the task. He is not a street fighter even if this is the right thing to do. He would rather take a beating just to prove he would not take advantage. Trump has got to learn how to fight this well saturated communist liberal ruling class including the MSM.

Then whatever it takes, you do it systematically and relentlessly until the minority opposition gives up.

That’s how a majority operates. At least that’s how the Democrats do it when it’s their turn.

What was the reason the Republicans fast-tracked the likes of Holder and Lynch? They thought playing nice would be paid back in kind?

President Trump is not a hypocrite. He believes advise and consent, the rule -of-law, transparency (tweets) etc.

We rightly condemned Barry and his minions for ignoring the law and “ruling” against the will of the people.

I think that was them trying to bend to what they perceived to be the will of the people. Sadly, that spirit does not animate the Democrats.

The Democrats used whatever methods they had at their disposal to advance their agenda.

The GOPe are doing the same.
