NEW YORK (Reuters) - A majority of Americans believe that transgender individuals should be allowed to serve in the military, according to an exclusive Reuters/Ipsos opinion poll released on Friday. The July 26-28 poll suggested that the country largely disagrees with President Donald Trump's announcement this week that he will ban transgender personnel from the armed forces. When asked to weigh in on the debate, 58 percent of adults agreed with the statement, "Transgender people should be allowed to serve in the military." Twenty-seven percent said they should not while the rest answered "don't know." Democrats mostly supported military service by transgender Americans while Republicans were divided on the issue.

Bullshoit
If Trump announced that he found a cure for Cancer, the Media would have a Poll out saying that most People agree that it wasn’t a good thing because of the impact on Oncologist Employment.
Do they also believe that people who think they are turnips or radishes should be allowed to serve? And that the government should give them whatever surgeries they like to try to become a radish or turnip for free?
yep

Clinton opens up double-digit lead over Trump nationwide: Reuters/Ipsos poll
The military is not a democracy. It follows real science. Ie if the military needs to inject hormones for war fighting, then so be it. It is not up to the soldier to inject himself and modify his body.
Are they out of their frigging minds?
Twenty years ago, who would have thunk 58% of polled adults would think we should have an army of Corporal Klingers (Mash)!!
Put trannies on the front lines.
1. Haven't a clue about being in the military.
2. Haven't seen/talked to those they think should be allowed in the military.
Fighting elsewhere, what are the chances of a transgender-POW receiving their regular hormone medications?
As the wife of Ret. SCPO, no Military personnel DON’T want them. We don’t give a crap what the public thinks, we don’t trust or want these freaks in the Military.
They have been pushing this crap since Klinger on Mash who was trying to get out. Still Propaganda.
Military has enough issues with the rape garbage. It doesn’t need this, nor the $1.2 Billion price tag.
These idiots are now trying to push it on dogs, yeah you read that right. Dogs are never confused about their sex. We’ve raised dogs since kids, we are seniors now, with 2 very female 3 and 4 yr olds, and each one has different traits as to their breed, we had males and females. They know their roll as gender. Even neutered males still act like males and hike legs, and hunch on toys or a female in heat.
Same polling that predicted Hillary, no doubt. At least they are maintaining their consistency.
I have read so many arguments by liberals as to why transgenders shouldn’t server, from privacy to cohesion.
They leave out the most obvious and direct case.
Transgenderism is a mental disorder.
Crazy people should not serve in the military.
Therefore, transgenders should not serve in the military.
But they have internalized the liberals’ name-calling, that their ideas are offensive or impolite even to air, so they won’t admit gender dysphoria is a dysphoria, and we shouldn’t let a man who thinks he’s a woman go into combat any more than if he thought he was Napoleon.
The ones actually SERVING, or have served in the pas... Oh never mind..This is BS
I have asked many military personnel, and all of them say trans whatever is a bad thing.
5.56mm
the ones getting hormone treatment don’t go on the front lines...they get assigned where they can get their regimented therapy...probably near a city where theres a civilian doctors and a hospital to do this yuck...they may never get deployed during their short enlistment...
most of the couple of years and the early out would be taken up with the required time for the hormones to do their complete thing and then the op and recovery including the period of waiting for the op appointment which might take several weeks or months...theres not that many doctors or hospitals set up for this specialty surgery and care...
oh what a cushy assignment...light duty short days...no latrine duty...no KP...
the whole spectrum of possible skate ability and specialness attached to the transexperience in the military is nowhere near exhausted...
