Gov. Greg Abbott: How George Soros is helping Obama Democrats buy their way back to power
Washington Examiner ^ | July 29, 2017 | Gov. Greg Abbott

Liberals are trying to mess with Texas. And they don't plan on stopping there.

Still reeling from nearly a decade of devastating losses in statehouses across the nation as well as in the 2016 presidential election, Democrats in Washington, D.C. are plotting to pour hundreds of millions of dollars in state and local elections across the country.

With the help of hedge fund billionaire George Soros, the National Democratic Redistricting Committee hopes to wrest control from voters of congressional re-districting in 2021 when booming conservative states such as Texas will gain seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. All for the benefit of their special-interest donors.

***snip***

The GOP needs to take the Soros network and the Holder, Obama, and Pelosi alliance seriously.

The integrity of the people's vote is at stake.

We must ensure re-districting efforts reflect the will of the people — not the depth of donors' pockets.

I urge my fellow Republicans to act now.

City Council seats tend to be more focused on local than national issues, so that’s not a judge of Cruz’s vulnerability. I’m in a district in Nashville that shouldn’t have been electing White Conservative Republicans (albeit “non-partisan”), but yet it did for 16 years. I was extremely worried when a Black lady Democrat running like she was the next Mad Maxine Waters took the open seat in 2015, now she has turned out to be one of the most Conservative members on our moonbat council (voting against turning us into a sanctuary city despite a heavy Hispanic and illegal presence in our district).

Talking about San Antonio council district 9 where rat John Courage picked up a previously Republican seat?

Republicans failed to make the runoff because their vote was split between multiple candidates, Courage beat an independent in the runoff.

Republicans held 2 other seats.

I would say this has no relevance to the Senate race next year. Cruz shouldn’t have too much trouble with the Irish faggot.

Most government “programs” are.

The CIA or the deep-staters within the CIA?

Yes just as Soros “helped “ Democrats “buy” power in 2010 and 2014 and 2016 and in all of the special elections, right?

Has this been on its own thread? I think there should be an indepth public research thread for him. I’m sure soros won’t make the same mistake and not be prepared as they were in 2008 when hildabeast was supposed to win and obama go in 2016.

Exactly my thought. Let them spend big and really P.O. their donors. The more they spend the stupider they look and the more hopeless they become.

I’m saying that the changing demographics of TX make continued Republican success questionable.

I hear you but in 2000 dems said they would win Texas by 2008. They’ve been singing about a brown wave turning the country into fascist single party state for a long time.

Biggest problem for Trump’s margin was rich White suburbanites switching to Shillery.

In an Oval Office meeting with the chairmen, Trump asked about specific races, according to those present, and expressed support for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who clashed with Trump during the primary and at the convention before ultimately endorsing him.

The relationship between the two men now appears to be strong heading into Cruz’s re-election contest next year.

“He said, ‘Please tell Ted for me that I am behind him 100 percent,’” Texas GOP Chairman James Dickey told RealClearPolitics of his talk with the president.

Great to see this. Hopefully that puts an end to any lingering idiotic "primary Cruz" talk around here.
