"Eminent bio-ethicist" - LOL. This guy is certifiable. What comes out of these institutions of higher learning is frightening.

But what about the NBA?

Brilliant, cosmically intelligent, Progressive geniuses with the limitless ability to think through complex problems, can not be certified since they are the standard of the universe who should be give absolute power to overcome the effects of moronic, non-Progressive thoughs.
See? Ya know?

Algore should be first in line. He wants to save the planet but simply doesn’t have the will power to give up his mansions, private airplanes, suvs...

The New Ethics. Lobotomize children with drugs if not just abort them completely. All for the greater good.

the fact this guy actually believes this kind of thing is a good idea is terrifying on several levels.

“Bio-ethicists” invariably lack respect for the soul and view humans as cattle to be herded about at the whim of government.

This is right out of Huxley’s “Brave New World” which is the source of my user name. I had a hunch this kind of insanity was coming.

"In his book, The Abolition of Man, Lewis was prophetic in pointing out that relativismthe idea that there are no absolute truthswould lead to the decay of morality and a lack of virtue within society. Without a belief in and the teaching of universal moral laws, we fail to educate the heart and are left with intelligent men who behave like animals or as Lewis puts it, Men without Chests.
Exactly what was said here: Francis A. Schaeffer has argued, If there are no absolutes by which to judge society, then society is absolute. Francis Schaeffer, How Shall We Then Live? (Old Tappan NJ: Fleming H Revell Company, 1976), p. 224.
This is the logical consequence of secular humanism. When man is the measure of all things, God's rightful place as the measure of all things is replaced with whatever is the zeitgeist of the day. It is now the earth and its worship in place of God. Man has become a fool--unfortunately, he does not know it.

Yes this is the kind of moral blind “moral innovator” Lewis described in all three lectures in the Abolition of Man of which that was the first. Also made me think of “Brave New World”.
