Hmm... ok but I got that out of a book on the Progressive movement. I will look for the title.

This is a great idea. Let’s implement term limits at the same time. Two birds, one stone.

I recommend that you read this:

Every amendment adopted after the War of Northern Aggression should be repealed.

Still angry about that whole slavery thing huh?

Why have U.S. Senators at all?

Just let the state governors represent whatever the senators duties were/are. Senators are supposed to represent the wishes of the states they represent, so, why not have real representation of how each state feels? Senators have been going their own way, and are not representing the wishes of their respective states.

“The Imperial Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I’ve just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the council permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away.”

The Imperial Senate

Imperial Senate?

There's nothing "imperial" when the "senators" would be replaced by the governors of the states which the senators were supposed to be working for in the first place.

Getting the another branch of government out of the hands of professional spin doctors is definitely a worthy endeavor.

We could pretty much afford to repeal just about every amendment since the 13th.

What brought on direct election of Senators...

It amazed me that state legislators voted away this power. Why would they do that? So I dug a little and it was because their Senator vote created controversy for their constituents. Why bother caring about these state reps now? Most things of importance are centered in DC .Congress and the Court of Supreme whim has killed the 10th with the 14th Amendment. I know I cared very little about who my state rep was until recently. It was only my desire for Article V that kindled my interest in state legislature matters.

I’d like to see no out-out-of state money and no corporate money in campaigns.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said said "it is time to move on" for the GOP.

I think we should start with McConnell "moving on" to spend more time with his family and less time messing up mine!
