Confusion over this likely comes from this…The legal complaint filed against Imran Awan was filed in US District Court for the District of Columbia.
Steven Wasserman, DWS’s brother, IS an Assistant US Attorney at US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Wasserman is one of 350 Assistant U.S. Attorneys in that office, but his name is no-where on that criminal complaint. It was signed by Michael J. Marando, another one of the 350.
Now, this is where it gets interesting. (via NYT 4/25/2015): Michael J. Marando is married to JoAnna Wasserman.
