He burned the House of Hashem, the kings palace, and all the houses of Yerushalayim; he burned down the house of every notable person. II Kings 25:9 (The Israel Bible)
On the eve of Tisha Bav, the fast day commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples, archaeological evidence of that destruction has been uncovered, verifying the truth of the Book of Kings and reaffirming that the Temples stood in Jerusalem.
In a discovery the Israeli Antiquities Authority (IAA) called mesmerizing proof of the Babylonian destruction of the First Temple, structures over 2,600 years old were exposed under collapsed layers of stone in Jerusalems City of David excavation park.

Once again, the truth of the Bible shows.
That means the original temple was not built on the site of the Dome Of The Rock mosque.
The only groups that don’t believe the Jews built the Temple on the Temple mount are Muslims and Left Wing Democrats in the US. Guess Democrats and Muslims are allies
As well, graffiti in Sinai mines have been shown to be Hebrew,
and to have a mention of Moses, “who has startled” or “frightened”
Egypt.
No, that's not at all what it means.
He burned the House of Hashem, the kings palace, and all the houses of Yerushalayim; he burned down the house of every notable person. II Kings 25:9 (The Israel Bible)
The House of Hashem is the Temple.
FReegards!
So how does this make my statement false? As these excavations aren't next to, or underneath any mosques.
If you have ever been to Jerusalem and viewed the Temple Mount you would know better -- and should know better.
Herod's 2nd temple was built over the ruins of the 1st Temple. The Dome of the Rock sits atop the pinnacle of the Temple Mount.
The Temple was expansive and there are several levels to it. The Dome occupies the top of the mount, not the entire footprint of the Temple Mount itself.
For instance the Dome is not built atop the Wailing Wall - a very visible remnant of the 2nd Temple.
The evidence of burnt structures for the time period recorded in the Bible coincides with the account present in 2 Kings.
FReegards!
Very interesting.
