Why are UNIONS exempt from OBAMACARE?
Back when ‘HillaryScare’ tanked, part of what did it in was the pushback from the insurers and pharmaceutical industry (e.g. the “Harry and Louise” commercials). The second time around, with Obama and the academic know nothings like Gruber, they wanted to avoid this pushback.
The consequence? They rolled over for the insurers, and made promises to the pharmaceutical industry, all on the backs of the patients and the caregivers. Why? Because those groups didn’t have the money or clout to fight back, AND, there were factions within these groups that could be exploited to further dilute their influence (e.g. the complicity of the AMA and AARP).
So, we wound up with the stupidity of Obamacare, which gives us the cluelessness of the typical academic (like Gruber), the unworkable ‘deals’ with the insurers and pharma, and the ever-growing bureaucracy of anything the government gets involved with. Entirely predictable, and tragically damaging.

With the rise of the stock market, will congress critters still have the privilege of insider trading? That’s why they all become rich after a “career” in Congress and lucrative retirement benefits.
This ‘cost sharing’ BS is, obviously, just a BAILOUT for insurance companies. I’ve had some fun with leftists point out just that. They are reduced to DEFENDING insurance companies while I attack their profits as the biggest evil on the planet.
It’s a BLAST to change places with them.

If Trump pulls the subsidies we that pay will pay MASSIVELY as the state boards clamber to keep insurance available. In my state the insurance board are not the sharpest tools in the shed and I suspect they have palms on both sides of their hands.
It is true the insurance companies have made a lot of money out of odumbo care. However, nobody can afford barky care. We can’t, the gubment can’t and the insurance companies can’t. Why? It provides subsidized and unrestricted all but no cost insurance and medical care to the very lowest income people in the country while the rest of us pay through the nose and get little.
Hope he answers by taking Congress’s elite insurance away! Especially if the don’t do what they need to in order to ease our pain!
