>>Take the drives apart. Melt all of the parts with an Oxy-Acetylene torch. Nothing left but a puddle. Done.

Or you could just...

https://www.google.com/search?site=&source=hp&q=bitlocker+subpoena

But the Awan Bros and their Deep State cohorts would know that.

So why would they not encrypt the contents and rely upon a half baked attempt to physically destroy the drives?

Unless there was something they really wanted folks to see, and be deceived with.

It appears that when Trump was elected the Awans and their protectors (DWS and others) went into a state of shock.

It was said that the Awans began to miss staff meetings and behaved in a general sloppy manner.

They were most likely trying to unwind their criminal enterprise and skip the country before getting arrested and were too frantic to manage the details (like the hard drives in the garage).

Depending on how this ends up, it would make a great book or movie.

You can bet Awan was hanging around his old house trying to figure out how to break-in and steal the drives. But the retired Marine was always there.

Why wouldn’t the ISI Mobromoles have encrypted the contents of the drives in the first place?

This is an interesting list of ongoing Democrat scandals:

Russia, Bribes & Sex: 19 MASSIVE Democrat Scandals the MSM Is Covering Up
If these were Republican scandals, they would consume the news cycle.

Imran had worked for Wasserman Schultz — who resigned in July 2016 as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee after its IT system was hacked — since 2005. His relatives and friend had also worked on and off as IT aides, being paid collectively more than $4 million from 2009 to 2016.

Other sources say he started working for her in 2004

Not leaking like a sieve to the news media, which means he’s doing his job.

I vaguely remember an article talking about an off site server.

Yes. It is fairly widely reported that data was moved from Congressional machines to others, who knows where. I don't recall any reporting about the supposed location of the "remote server," or even what its ostensible purpose was.

[U.S. Government to Encrypt All Laptops]

“On June 23, 2006 a Presidential Mandate was put in place requiring all agency laptops to fully encrypt data on the HDD. The U.S. Government is currently conducting the largest single side-by-side comparison and competition for the selection of a Full Disk Encryption product. “

https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2007/01/us_government_t.html

Looks like the public pdf of the mandate has been deleted:

https://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/memoranda/fy2006/m06-16.pdf

NOT (LOL):

Be interesting to see if the Awan Bros followed that [deleted] mandate, or not.

Just after I posted it I saw where someone else had posted the article about the off site server. You’re right, it doesn’t say or speculate on where it is or how the author knows there was one.

Hmm:

January 20, 2017: (Now you see it)

January 31, 2017: (Now you don't)
https://web.archive.org/web/20170131132347/https://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/omb/memoranda/fy2006/m06-16.pdf

Why would documents left over from the Bush administration, which survived the Obama fiasco - have been deleted from Whitehouse.gov after January 20?

Seems Kelly was a Comey fan.

Considering the sources of the stories, I believe Kelly to not be a Comey fan or friend; I would call this, “Fake News”.

I have not seen anything credible to lead me to believe they were friends; Trump would NOT HAVE HIRED HIM if that were the case, don’t you think???

Trump wouldn’t have hired Scaramouch if he didn’t think he was the man for the job either.

From what little I saw of Scaramouch, I’d agree.

Kelly could clear up what exactly it was he said to Comey, or not - he has the podium now.

[I think there is a good chance that the recovered data will be wonderful and patriotic and not at all problematic. Because it was planted.]

It seems likely that the Anwan Brothers were not loyal democrats.
In it for the money and to cause as much havoc as possible?
Maybe they didn’t cover their tracks so good figuring they were headed back to Paki some day soon..?

You are right, this would make a good movie or book. I’m figuring, given the players involved, we will never have real justice or even know the details, but we here can guess the rest.

A good next book for Hillary (I can dream)?

I suspect whatever is there will also be found on Weiner’s ‘lap-top’. Hillry has a long history of collecting ‘data’... Question is how many Republicans in both Houses have been compromised.

Probably fit in quite comfortably with the crew of L.I.F.E.R.s paddling their double dipped technocratic canoe up the Potomac into the Heart of Darkness.

"Or maybe those drives are loaded with misdirecting bullshyte and disinformation."

That is what I was thinking, just never got around to saying it, thanks.

Those hard drives were a loose end bigger than Delaware, hard to overlook of forget, especially for career IT criminals. They had to know physically smashing them only gives the appearance of trying to hide evidence.
