The article fails to clarify "a catastrophic mistake" for whom. Is Charles fretting for the democrats or for the country?
From any perspective the entire attack against Trump is without merit; from the entire political spectrum people have come forward to say that "collusion" does not violate any statute. Besides, even with the vast resources of both government and media, no one has produced any proof that Trump colluded with Russia to affect the election results. So, what are we talking about?

The point is that by denying any wrongdoing, Trump can now be accused of lying and, as everyone knows, it's not the crime that's important but the cover-up...unless of course it's the nature of the evidence that's important...unless it's the severity of the crime...unless...

I noticed it was a bit vague on particulars also. But on a different note, when was the last time "a catastrophic mistake" ever stopped the democrats? It's not like that's an impediment to their normal operations. Heck, Obama himself was "a catastrophic mistake". It's their calling card.
