Report: Trump Campaign Adviser Was Under Secret Surveillance Much Earlier Than Previously Thought
Former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page was the target of a secret surveillance warrant since at least 2014, much earlier than previously believed.
That revelation, reported by CNN on Thursday, raises the possibility that Page, a Manhattan-based energy consultant, was under surveillance while he served on the Trump campaign.
It was reported in April that the FBI obtained a warrant under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) against Page in September. The New York Times reported at the time that U.S. officials obtained the warrant after determining that Page was no longer part of the Trump campaign. Investigators did not want to cross the line of investigating someone involved in a political campaign, an official told The Times.

No one will leak what other people, in various campaigns, were under surveillance.

You are 100% correct. She had no important information to give Trump and the meeting was short and of no interest to the Trump campaign. However, her presence with Trump's son gave linkage to Russia at which time they could get the FISA warrant to unmask. Trump got played on this one.

Wake me when we get to the point where everybody understands that every GOP campaign had been under surveillance from the Obama admin not only in 2016 but in 2012 also, and probably were doing it to Senate candidates and key House candidates as early as the 2010 election cycle (AKA as soon as they possibly could).
Since they did this it seems to me incredibly unlikely at that early point that they did not do similar things to the very many other campaigns that then existed:
they didn’t know who’s going to be the GOP candidate so they spied on probably six or more different campaigns, maybe ALL of them.
