Feds Spend $300,000 for ‘Dialogues About Water’

New NEH grants include $30,000 for the 'oral histories' of LGBTQ community in Idaho!

The National Endowment for the Humanities' list of taxpayer-funded projects includes $300,000 for conversations about water, $75,000 for a database of podcasts, and $30,000 for oral histories of lesbian and gay Idahoans.

The NEH released its list of its first projects under the Trump administration this week. Jon Peede, the acting chairman of the NEH and Trump appointee, has discretion for signing off on every grant award.

The $39.3 million list of projects comes after the president sought the elimination of the agency, as well as the National Endowment for the Arts, in his budget proposal.

A source with extensive knowledge of the cultural agencies told the Washington Free Beacon, "There is no difference between the millions of dollars of grants awarded by the Trump and Obama NEH, this in spite of the president's request to defund it."

So we’re giving $30,000 of hard-earned taxpayer money to homosexuals in Idaho to talk about their history.

Maybe they can get a book out of this.

I’m only interested in a database of podcasts if my podcast is included.

Is it asking too much for a kosher government, one without pork?

There shouldn’t even be a National Endowment for the Humanities.

I cannot think of anything more important to spend my hard-earned tax money on.

Come on, Trump! DRAIN THE SWAMP!! CLEAR OUT THE SEWER!! END THIS CRAP! Show some respect to taxpayers who work so hard for their money only to watch it get pissed away by FedGov on BS like this. No wonder the FedGov gets so little respect and Congress is in the toilet.

You have to wonder if even another World War could stop the spending on this crap. Victory Gardens, Scrap Drives, Gasoline and Tire rationing? Nah, nowhere near as important as oral histories of queers.

That was almost seven months ago. A “stroke of the pen” to end it all. Come on, Trump! Deliver on your promises and boasts.

And they’ll do the whole study again in a couple years. Frikkin colleges have been taking duplicate grants for years mainly coming up with lies when their done.
