Marco Rubio: Trump's immigration bill is 'not going to pass' the Senate
Washington Times ^ | August 7, 2017 | Melissa Quinn

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., thinks a new bill implementing a merit-based point system for foreigners seeking legal permanent status will never pass the Senate, even though it has President Trump's backing. "That bill's not going to pass," told CBS 4 in an interview Sunday. "I think the White House knows that you don't have 60 votes for that in the Senate."

You are so right, faithhopecharity.
The United States Senate, led by the feckless Mitch McConnell and filled with way too many never-Trumpers, must be radically reformed. I am livid at the relentless obstruction of the RINOs and hope that President Trump can recruit viable primary challengers who can oust these traitors and support his agenda.

Well he’s telling the truth unfortunately. It will be at least 6 votes shy it’s should already be the policy but it t won’t make it through the worthless Senate.

Of course it’s not going to pass. This is the GOP, a total and complete fraud!

The GOP is working to get a ‘Rat majority in the House in 2018 so they can get Trump impeached.

Aren’t you proud to be a Republican?

It would need 60 votes to break a presumed filibuster. The Dems would filibuster any bill that had a chance of reaching 51 votes.

I suspect Marco Rubio has a past. When a man does his enemy’s bidding, you can bet somebody’s got him by the short hairs.

Marco isn’t out of touch. He’s very much in touch with the big donors and globalists who want open borders. He’s a hollow man who is owned by them

I don’t think Trump necessarily EXPECTS it to pass. But he IS smoking out a lot of RINOs with this move...and they will pay in 2018.

He will use 2017 and a couple of months in 2018 saying, “Come on, Congress, let’s do what the people wanted.”

This is what the immigration, Obamacare repeal, maybe even taxes are all about.

Come spring of 2018, I think Trump goes on another tear—and equally declares open season on DemonRats like McCaskill and Bill Nelson and Joe Donnelly and Tester and Brown...AND against RINOs like Heller and Flake.

Trump has shown that HE is a better campaigner with more energy and more desire to win than any of these Swamp Creatures.

Win or lose, Trump will go after a lot of them and remind people that the REASON they still have Obamacare and high taxes and immigration problems is because of Senators like the ones mentioned above.

Trump plays long ball, methinks.

Let’s retire the word “RINO”. It implies that a “real” Republican is a good solid conservative. Unfortunately, real Republican leaders are moderate to left. Haven’t you moticed? It’s the RARE Republican, like Reagan, who is the exception.
