Like you I once had the distorted view of science dispensing God as a fairy tale.

I went through a conversion and now I am a God fearing Catholic. I am now much more keenly aware of the power of prayer -- especially the Psalms in front of the blessed sacrament.

At some point, I came to the liberating realiztion that faith and reason(or science if you prefer) are not at war with each other as many worldly people would have you falsly believe. Having faith allows one to give up the idea that we have to have all the answers in this world. It's ok to have mysteries, after all God created it that way!

Thus, it is best to view faith and reason as two wings of one bird. Too much faith without reason doesn't fly well. Visa versa, too much reason without faith likewise has trouble flying. Use both prudently and one can soar! God Bless!

I like how you articulated that. Better than I. Thanks.

Best,
