US President Donald Trump has said he is not ruling out a military option in dealing with the crisis in Venezuela.

"The people are suffering and they are dying," he said.

Venezuela's Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said President Trump's suggestion was "an act of craziness".

President Nicolas Maduro's new constituent assembly has been widely criticized as anti-democratic. The US recently imposed sanctions on President Maduro, branding him a dictator.

"We have many options for Venezuela, including a possible military option if necessary," Mr. Trump told reporters on Friday evening.

"We have troops all over the world in places that are very far away. Venezuela is not very far away and the people are suffering an they're dying.".....

When ivanka was carrying on about syria I kept mentioning Venezuela here. She wasnt saying a peep about it

Now all of a sudden we have to get involved??

It is their country. Not our country. Fix the problems here. Let the UN stick their nose in it.

NOT OUR PROBLEM!

We have the media and the Deep State to wage war on, here at home.

Somalia anyone? Iraq anyone? The Arab Spring anyone?

“Venezuela is no threat to the U.S., and their internal affairs are not our government’s business.”

Venezuela is heavily involved with Iran to the extent that the Prime Minister is an Iranian asset. Cuba is also a close ally and supporter.

Maybe it's time to bring back the draft.

I am convinced that President Trump is now using the mendacious media to his advantage by saying all sorts of ridiculous things to confuse and befuddle our enemies, all of whom have been misled by the mendacious media to expect him to do just about anything evil and pernicious, since they’ve been lying about him ongoingly since he began his presidential run.

America has a long history of military intervention is Latin America. Venezuela is long past the point where an invasion was necessary to protect the American interests there. Those interests are already dead.

Venezuela ruled by oligarchs killed herself by communist intrusion

We have troops all over the world

Sorry, Trump, but we aren't the world police and we certainly don't need to risk our men and women for some hell hole. We've lost far too many on these lost causes. Venezuela brought this particular trouble on themselves. If they enjoy socialism so much, then let them continue with it. If they don't, then they are the ones who need to put a stop to it. If they are starving, then another blame should be laid at their feet. We've read countless accounts of people rummaging through garbage for food yet when there are pictures of the garbage, there is perfectly good food being thrown out. When there is good food being tossed, then they are NOT starving. The people lined up for the grocery stores don't look like they've missed many meals. Nope, sorry, when you have the means to get a nice manicure, you don't deserve my sympathy. Then we read about farmers who starving. Farmers starving??? Then they're lazy farmers with lazy families. Plant something for goodness sakes and disconnect that dish on your roof to feed your kids. Apparently no one with a bit of yard or a sunny window in Venezuela has any clue what to do with them. And restaurant and food truck owners claim they send their kids to be without dinner? Sure, tell me another lie.

Ivanka needs to take herself and her husband off The Hill and start worrying about US citizens.

You are 100% right. This is not our circus and not our monkeys. We have way too much going on to worry about this third world cesspool.

Press Conference on Monday, perhaps this will be clarified. I don’t have any problems with what he said and I watched it again this morning, as he was flanked by Tillerson and Haley.

Does military option include supplying weapons? Maybe. Maybe it includes aiding Venezuela’s neighbors, Colombia and Peru who seem to be cracking down on VZ right now as well.

Blockade them so nobody escapes that cesspool to come to America. Let them stay there and solve their own problems and not further destroy America as the Mexicans are doing.

You didn’t. I did

That is who gets involved with those military people you speak off to take a leader out.

—”Just like Obama not sounding any verbal support for the Green Revolution in Iran when the Mullahs were at risk of losing it there?”

That’s NOT a good comparison at all:

1. During the Green Rev in Iran, Obama didn’t blurt out that “the USA could consider invasion” - did he? I rest my case...

2. Instead, Trump could have issued his SUPPORT for the people of Venezuela.

I think Trump went overboard and shouldn’t have said that. It made him seem like a war-monger casting about for a fight. He needs to focus on Isis and NK and the Deep State.

True, we need to be involved at some level in Venezuela to prevent even more evil forces to take over in the chaos that will soon happen there.

First of all, who said anything of taking out a leader? Only you. If you really want to know what he said, read it and not into it. Furthermore, when is it OK to ever take the military option off the table when you have another dictator making threats against our country? Is this not the same way that lineage of pigs from PDRK started their tacts that have us where we are now?

If you are going to deal from a position of strength, you never, ever cut your hand or cull the deck and make damned well sure that any potential challenger understands this going in.
